If you want to add your Gmail account to Microsoft Outlook 2010 using IMAP, then just follow the following simple steps:
1 – First open your Gmail Account and Go to Settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP Tab. Then Check Enable IMAP Checkbox to enable IMAP under IMAP Access section and click Save Changes Button to save the changes.
2 – Launch Outlook 2010. Go to File Tab > Info > click Add Account Button.
3 – Then a Dialog box will open. Enter your Gmail account credentials in given fields by checking Email Account Checkbox and click Next Button to proceed.
4 – Now Outlook will configure email server settings and send a test email to your Gmail account.
5 – In the end click Finish Button to complete the configuration.
6 – Now you can see that your Gmail Account is added to Outlook 2010.
