Microsoft has started giving early access of Windows 8 builds to Original Design Manufacturer (ODMs) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) via Microsoft Connect. Microsoft launched a new program named as “Windows 8 and Server vNext Pre-Release Program” to distribute Windows 8 build 7971.0.110324-1900.
According to winrumors “Microsoft is expected to be readying a Windows 8 beta for September. Microsoft’s primary Windows 8 interface is believed to be fully 3D. The interface will be “fully dynamic” and able to adapt to user habits. Icons and shortcuts will adapt to different usage scenarios to speed up daily tasks.”OEMs will be invited into the Windows 8 and Server vNext Pre-Release program through this link, where X’s will be replaced by the actual invite code.

How To Install Windows 8 On VMware Virtual Machine
n my earlier article about Windows 8, I have told how to dual boot Windows 8 with Windows 7,
but not every Windows user want to install Windows 8 Developer Preview
as permanent option. In today’s tutorial on Windows 8 Developer preview,
I am going to tell you how install Windows 8 virtually on VMware virtual machine. Just follow the following simple steps:
1 – Download Microsoft Windows 8 Developer Preview.
2 – Download VMware virtual Machine and install it on your computer.
3 – Once installation finished, Launch VMware Workstation.
4 – Go to File Menu and Select New Virtual Machine from opened menu.
5 – After selecting New Virtual Machine, a Dialog box will appear. Select Custom Checkbox and click Next button to proceed.
6 – In the next step, select I will install the operation system later Checkbox and click Next button to proceed.
7 – In the next step, select Microsoft Windows Checkbox and choose Windows 7 from Version drop down menu and click Next button to proceed.
8 – In the next steps, specify name, Capacity of about 20 GB and 1 GB RAM for 32 bits Windows 8 or 2 GB RAM for 64 bits Windows 8 to Virtual Machine. Once configuration completes, your new virtual machine is ready to install Windows 8 Developers Preview.
9 – Click Power on this Virtual Machine from newly created Virtual Machine.
10 – Now to install Windows 8 on this virtual machine, right click on virtual machine and select Removable Devices > CD/DVD (IDE) > Settings to mount Windows 8 ISO image as DVD drive.
11 – Then go to Hardware Tab in newly opened Dialog box and select CD/DVD (IDE) from left pane and select Windows 8 Developers Preview ISO file by clicking Browse button from right pane. In the end OK button.
12 – Now VMware virtual machine will take about 20 minutes to install Windows 8 Developers Preview.

Microsoft have Reimagined the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) in Windows 8. It will be a new experience for you whenever your system crashes, a more user friendly message will be shown with some error information for power users. In spite of all the changes, Microsoft did decide to keep it blue!

How To Enable Safe Mode In Windows 8
After the release of Windows 8 Developer Preview
every Windows Lover tries to explore different features of this new
Microsoft’s Desktop operating system. In my series of articles about Windows 8
Developers Preview, today I am going to tell you how to enable safe
mode in Windows 8 Developers Preview because by default Safe Mode is
disable in Windows 8 Developers Preview. Just follow the following
steps:
1 – Open Run by pressing WIN + R button from your computer keyboard.
2 – Then open System Configuration by tying msconfig in the Run Open field and hit Enter.
3 – Go to Boot Tab in the System Configuration Dialog box.
4 – Then, select Safe boot under Boot options and click OK button to save the changes.
5 – Now, Reboot your PC, to boot Windows 8 in safe mode.
6 – If you want to move to Normal mode again. Then, repeat the above steps and uncheck Safe boot and reboot your PC.
1 – Open Run by pressing WIN + R button from your computer keyboard.

One of the new features added to newly released Windows 8 is Metro UI Start Menu.

today’s tutorial on Windows 8.
In Today’s tutorial, I am going to tell you how to Get Classic Windows 7
Styled Start Menu in Windows 8. Just follow the following steps:
1 – Open Run by pressing WIN + R button from your computer keyboard.
2 – Then open Registry Editor by tying regedit in the Run Open field and hit Enter.
3 – Then navigate to following location HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer in the Registry Editor and double click on Explorer.
4 – Then, in the right pane of Registry Editor, right click on RPEnabled and select Modify… from the menu.
5 – After selecting Modify a Dialog box will open. Change the Value Data of RPEnabled from 1 to 0 and click OK button to save the changes.
6 – Now Reboot your PC and after reboot, you can see your Windows 8 Metro UI styled Start Menu is changed to Classic Windows 7 styled Start Menu.
7 – If you want Windows 8 Metro UI styled Start Menu back, then repeat the above steps and change the Value Data of RPEnabled from 0 to 1 again.

3 – Then navigate to following location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UsbStor in the Registry Editor and double click on Usbstor.
4 – Then, in the right pane of Registry Editor, right click on Start and select Modify… from the menu.
5 – After selecting Modify a Dialog box will open. Change the Value Data of Start from 3 to 4 and click OK button to save the changes.
6 – Now Reboot your PC to effect the changes.

How To Add A New User Account In Windows 8 Using Windows Live ID
In my series of articles on Windows 8, today I am going to tell you how to add a new user account in Windows 8 by using Windows Live ID.
In Windows 8, you can add a new user account by two ways: One old
Windows method by adding Local Account and other by using Windows Live
ID. This is the new feature added in Windows 8 to add a New User Account
by using Windows Live ID. Following steps will lead you to this
feature:
1 – Go to Control Panel.
2 – Then select Users from the list and scroll down to Add a User.
3 – Click More about logon options, this will take you to a new screen.
4 – If you want to add new user account using old Windows method then click Local Account button and if you want to add new user account using Windows Live ID then click Windows Live ID button.
5 – Click Windows Live ID button to add new user account using Windows Live ID. Then type your Windows Live ID in Windows Live ID field and click Next button to proceed.
6 – Then, click Finish button to complete the process.
7 – Now your new User Account is created but make sure one thing that you will need to be connected to the internet to Log on for the first time.
1 – Go to Control Panel.
