Finally Microsoft announced July 13 to end support for Windows 2000 and XP SP2. Microsoft also said that, online support such as Microsoft online Knowledge Base articles, FAQs, troubleshooting tools, and other resources will be available for next one year. For Windows 2000, this means that Service Pack 4 is the end of the line (which should not come as a surprise as Microsoft has noted this before). These users are encouraged to move up to Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7.
